Kris Benson gets the win. He evens his record at 11-11. Chris Ray gets the save, his 33rd.

Benson pitched a great game, going 8 innings while giving up 3 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks. He left the game with a lead, and actually kept it for the win this time. He struck out 4 batters and 2 of the hits he gave up were homeruns. Chris Ray pitched a hitless 9th to earn the save. The protest seemed to be succuessful. Around 1,000 people left the game at 5:08 PM after cheering loudly for the O’s prior to walking out. They were chanting “free the birds” and “sell the team” all the way while exiting.

Chris Gomez had another multi hit game, this time with 2 singles. Melvin Mora had a double and 2 walks. Miguel Tejada had 3 hits. Kevin Millar hit a double. Not much else, but it was enough for the win. Mora’s double was the deciding factor in the win. Good come from behind win against a team in the playoff race.
