The Orioles have activated OF Lou Montanez from the 60 day DL and transfered RHP Koji Uehara to the 60 day DL to make room on the 40 man roster.

Koji won’t be returning after all. He was all set to come off the DL last week but discovered more soreness in his arm and Andy MacPhail decided to shut him down. Montanez is being brought back with the injuries to our outfielders, Nolan Reimold and Adam Jones. The plan was to shut Montanez down after his rehab assignment and let him play winter ball to get ready for spring training, but we could use some added depth in the outfield. We’ll get a good look at Felix Pie in center and Jeff Fiorentino in left in the last couple weeks of the season.
