This is the beginning of stockpiling your arms with upside. The “Young Guns” haven’t exactly panned out yet and the depth is a serious concern. When you have to promote a guy like Worrell because you have nothing better in the system, it’s time to look outside the system. The biggest thing in this trade is trading useless, older players for younger guys with potential. Smart trade, even if it is minor.

Doug Bream is Sid Bream’s nephew. He played with his cousin, Sid’s son, at Liberty. Doug’s dad pitched and played 1st base at Oral Roberts University. Doug’s dad is deceased.

I’m not sure he cost us the game but his lack of range sure didn’t help. This is why alot of people thought signing Vlad was mistake. It forces Scott to left field instead of just allowing him to hit while platooning Reimold and Pie in left. It still might work out but that was an argument out there.

As far as Gonzalez I pretty much agree. Thats turning out to be a terrible contract, probably the worst MacPhail has given out.

Arrieta looks good, as does Britton and Guthrie. If we can get Matusz back, our top 4 can beat anyone and we can get by with Bergesen or Duchscherer (if he ever sees the field) as the 5th starter. We’re just going through a rough patch right now as far as injuries go.

Luke Scott cost us the game…He should not be our left feilder, plain and
simple .. we play to many good offenses- and we have young pitching.

He will hurt the team more then he can help.

In second place is Gonzo…he must go

Good news: our third pitcher- behind Guthrie and Matuz.. pitched great!
